How To Reach To Reach At Bhaje Waterfalls?

You can easily reach there by road from Pune or Mumbai. You can take the old Mumbai-Pune Highway or the Mumbai-Pune Expressway to the waterfalls. To reach there, you will turn from Kamshet and follow the signs for Bhaje waterfalls or Bhaje caves. The road condition is better except for a few patches (near the Kamshet waterfalls).

You can also take the train from Pune or Mumbai station to reach there. Afterward, you will take a taxi or rickshaw to reach the Bhaje waterfalls. Kamshet railway station is only 12 kilometers from the Kamshet waterfalls, and the fare is about 90 INR. The nearest airports are Pune International Airport and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

Which Is The Best Time To Visit Bhaje Waterfalls?

You can visit the waterfalls anytime from 10 am to 4 pm. The monsoon season(June to September) is the best time to visit the waterfalls. During that time, the weather used to be pleasant and added more to the beauty of this place. People from Pune and Mumbai visit the Bhaje waterfalls during monsoon with their friends and family and explore the beauty of this place.

The winter season (from November to February) can be good for enjoying the clear views of the waterfalls and pleasant weather. There are no entry charges, but you may have to pay for the parking.   • Lohagad Fort: The fort is 6 to 7 kilometers away from the waterfalls and is one of the best places for trekking. Therefore, visitors from Pune and Mumbai always go hiking there because of the fort's lush environment. The starting point of the trekking is about 7 kilometers away from the fort, and it takes two hours to reach the fort.
  • Rajmachi Fort: The fort is 28 kilometers from the waterfalls and is a popular landmark of Lonavala. The area becomes more beautiful during monsoon season.
  • Bhaje Caves: These caves are 450 meters away from the waterfalls. These caves are famous for their Buddhist cave architecture. These are among the oldest caves in Western India, as they date back to the 2nd century.
  • Karla Caves: These caves are 15 kilometers away from the Bhaje waterfalls. There is the largest Hinayana Buddhist chaitya. These caves were constructed between the 2nd to 5th centuries.
  • Kune Falls: These waterfalls are 17 kilometers away from the waterfalls. These falls are situated at 622 meters in front of the Sahyadri Hills. The waterfall split into two portions, giving stunning views surrounded by lush greenery.
